This Privacy Policy provides information that we are required to communicate to users of our website however this information does not in any way restrict our rights under the Privacy Act.
We only collect personal information that is necessary for us to conduct our business as an online platform whereby ‘User’ Members may post Jobs inviting ‘Professional’ Members to bid on those Jobs and Professional Members may post information about their skills and make proposals on Jobs posted by Users.
The personal information we collect may include:
All information collected directly from you when you provide information to register for an Account on the Site including but not limited to your name, date of birth, current address, contact telephone numbers, email address;
Financial information collected directly from you such as your bank account details and/or credit card details and details about your credit card such as the expiry date and any other information required for us to verify your credit card account;
Should you choose not to provide us with certain personal information then we may be unable to provide you with the Services on our Site or allow you to register for an account or to become a Member of the Site.
We may also collect some information from you when you use our website through the use of Cookies (which you may choose to block) however by the using the Site you authorize us to issue such cookies to your computer.

- provide you with the Services that you have requested by registering as a Member of the Site;
- assist you to use our the Services provided on our website;
- administer and manage the Services including charging, billing and collecting subscription fees;

We do not engage in unsolicited telephone or email marketing. If you are contacted by telephone by an individual or organization claiming to represent Protask do not purchase or contract for any services from the organization as we have a strict policy against telephone marketing but may telephone you for verification purposes if you have elected to verify your account.
Access
You have a right to access your personal information that we hold about you, subject to some exceptions allowed by law.
We will handle requests for access to your personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.
We reserve the right to charge a fee:
- if we incur a fee to access your information;
- for searching for, and providing access to your information where your request relates to a large amount of information, or information which is not currently in use.
We may refuse to provide access to personal information where to do so:
- would be unlawful;
- would have an unreasonable impact on other people's privacy;
- may prejudice an investigation of unlawful activity;
We may also refuse access to personal information about you where the personal information relates to current or anticipated legal proceedings and the information would not be discoverable by the process of discovery in those proceedings.
If we refuse to give you access we will provide you with reasons for our refusal.
Third Party Sites
You may click-through to third party websites from the Site and we recommend you refer to the privacy statement of the sites you visit as this Privacy Policy only relates to the Protask website and the personal information we collect from you. We assume no responsibility for information and content on other third party websites.
Also if you disclose personal information to other Members of the Site or to third parties then other rules and policies may apply to that personal information.
Correcting
If you believe that personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date then you may request us to amend your personal information held by us. If we do not agree that the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or not current then we may add a note to the personal information stating that you disagree with the record of your personal information held by us.
